CINDY M. CASTRO, SUPERINTENDENT

Mrs. Castro has over 32 years of experience working in education. She came to our school
district in June 2019. Prior to Vineland School District, she worked at Fairfax and Delano
School District. Her experience includes Teacher, TOSA, Vice Principal, Principal, and
Assistant Superintendent. She was awarded the ACSA Administrator of the Year. This is
her fifth year as Superintendent.
Mrs. Castro graduated from California State University Bakersfield and received her
Masters of Arts in Education Administration from Fresno Pacific University. She completed
the CBO program at the California State Bakersfield.
Mrs. Castro was born and attended schools in Bakersfield California. She is married to
Steve and her family includes two daughters and two granddaughters. On her time off she
enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
